Who runs this site
proximapp.es is a project run by Ilia Ablamonov. For anything to do with the site, write to flamefork@gmail.com.
The site currently has no payments, advertising, sponsorships, affiliate arrangements, donations, user accounts, or products or services for sale.
Not an official service
próximapp is not an official service of Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Valencia S.A.U. (EMT Valencia) or of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV), the operator of Metrovalencia. The information is offered as a rough guide for checking nearby stops and upcoming arrivals.
Trademarks and logos
The EMT Valencia, Metrovalencia, and MetroBús logos appear in próximapp for one purpose only — to show which operator a stop belongs to — and they are used under article 37 of the Ley 17/2001, de 7 de diciembre, de Marcas, which allows a third party to use a trademark to identify or refer to the owner's goods or services, as long as that use follows honest practices in industrial or commercial matters.
- EMT Valencia. The mark is used in its original form, unaltered.
- Metrovalencia. Only the primary symbol is used (the "M" on a red circle), without the wordmark.
- MetroBús. Only the primary symbol is used (the three yellow parallelograms), without the wordmark or the tagline.
The shapes and colors of these symbols are not altered. próximapp does not imply sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement by any of these operators.
Terms of use
Arrival, stop, station, and map data may be incomplete, delayed, wrong, or unavailable. For trips you cannot afford to miss, check the information on the transit operators' official channels.
There is no guarantee that the service will always be available. You may not use próximapp in ways that interfere with how the app or its providers work.
External links
The site may link to or load resources from Mapbox, OpenStreetMap, EMT Valencia, FGV (including its Metrovalencia brand), and the National Access Point for Transport (NAP) of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MITRAMS). For MetroBús, próximapp may look up estimated arrivals through Softour Sistemas. Those services have their own terms of use and privacy policies.
Sources and attribution
Scheduled timetables (GTFS) for EMT Valencia, Metrovalencia, and MetroBús are obtained
as exploited data from the
National Access Point (NAP)
of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MITRAMS). They are reused under the
MITRAMS open data license. The catalogs refresh automatically every 24 hours; refresh status per source is
available at
/api/refresh-status
(the last_refreshed_at_ms and change_token fields, which
preserve the original update date of the NAP file).
The GTFS data for Metrovalencia and MetroBús originates with the Portal de Dades Obertes de la Generalitat Valenciana, which publishes it under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0) license — a license that survives delivery through the NAP/MITRAMS, thanks to the open data license's own clause on not prejudicing the licenses of origin. próximapp processes this data (filtering by viewport, combining it with real-time arrivals, normalization), which makes it modified data for the purposes of CC-BY 4.0.
- Real-time arrivals and service notices: Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Valencia S.A.U. (EMT Valencia) and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV), the operator of Metrovalencia. Estimated MetroBús arrivals: Softour Sistemas, using only stop identifiers and estimated minutes to arrival.
- Scheduled timetables and GTFS catalogs of stops and lines: the National Access Point (NAP) of MITRAMS, with datasets from EMT Valencia, Metrovalencia, and the Generalitat Valenciana department responsible for transport (which covers MetroBús in the Valencia metropolitan area).
